Trip to Guatemala
Jeff flew down to Guatemala on July 20th and returned on the 23rd and visited with a group there, Community Enterprise Solutions about establishing a study abroad program there for students interested in development and the model used there, micro-consignment. The trip was great and there is a good chance that UConn students will be helping entrepreneurs in Guatemala next summer. While there I took quite a few pictures:
- Pictures from Antigua, Guatemala, which is where the program would be based
- Pictures of the main office for CE Solutions, and the program they run there now, called Social Entrepreneur Corps
- Pictures from a conference that brought together the entrepreneurs working throughout Guatemala to bring life improving products to people in the areas where they live (eyeglasses, wood burning stoves and water purification systems, for example)
