Atlanta House Hunting

We looked at way too many houses, and got completely confused about what we saw and when, but kept our wits about us enough to narrow the search down to five houses.  Then we saw a new listing, and it was nice but a very steep driveway.  Then we found out that one of the five was going under contract, but it was the most expensive, so that was okay.  We looked a second time at the other four, and in two of them we found some flaws we hadn't seen the first time, although they were not too serious - if we had ended up with either house it would have been just fine.

The two finalists were very different.  The house we did not decide to pursue was owned by a chef, and the kitchen was awesome.  But the house was a little older and a little smaller than this house, which is at 350 Creekview Terrace, in Alpharetta, Georgia:

The house has a big kitchen in the middle of the house, with an eat in area along the windows that looks out over the deck and the backyard:

There's a (slightly) sunken family room that has a screened porch on the other side of the windows.  You can see the rest of the kitchen and the eat-in area.  Next to the kitchen in the front of the house is the dining room, and next to the family room in the front of the house is the living room, which has lots of windows, too:

The garage is on the right side of the house, and the master bedroom and bath are on the first floor and you can walk out onto the deck from the master bedroom.  There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, along with an unfinished bonus room.  Here's a picture of the back of the house, from the big backyard that slopes down away from the house, into some woods that separate us from the neighbor on the next street:

There's also a great big unfinished walkout basement.  That will give us some projects to keep us busy!

Here are two more views from the front of the house:
