In the south, pork and beef barbecue are very popular.  Quentin had beef brisket, Alli had ribs, and the rest of us had pulled pork.  Here we are after finishing dinner:

Hi, Domi - here are some pictures of the fall semester with Alli and family.

Homecoming celebrations include dressing up in silly costumes, and then dressing up for a dance:

Then there was Andrew's birthday, and Evan came from NJ to join in the celebration:

 For Thanksgiving, we had friends that we have known from the days we lived in Durham, NC. 

They drove over from their house near Charleston, SC.

Then comes the end of the semester and friends over to celebrate the end of exams:

On Christmas we have a tradition to take a picture of the kids at the top of the stairs before opening presents:

This weekend was Alli's 16th birthday - no car, but a sweet 16 anyway.  Celebrations started with a birthday donut before school:

 Even the school knew it was an important day:

Next was time to open some presents:

Dinner out at Pearl Lian, with BFF Theresa:

For the party, we got the most amazing Harry Potter broomstick cake:

 Then it was time for school buddies to come over for the big party in the basement:

Part of the fun was a Yankee gift swap, and the best was the gift Alli chose:  fresh squid!

 Such a wonderful day, and such a wonderful daughter!

Alli and Domi took Alli's brother to Stone Mountain, near Atlanta.  The clouds were thick and the views were not very good, but everyone had fun:
